I read The Finn Family Moomintroll book this year. I had never heard of these books before, but I really loved that book. It looks like there are lots of them.

There are 9 books in the series, and some picture books. Finn Family Moomintroll is the 3rd. Apparently the series gets slightly darker in Moominland Midwinter (book 6), which is the next one I'll be reading.

The comics were originally published in London's The Evening News, and are now being reprinted (very nicely, I might add) by Drawn & Quarterly.
