Has anyone read Son of Holmes by John Lescroart? I've seen it for on the bookstore bargain table, but I thought to pick the brains of everyone here. There aren't that many copies on LT, and the one review isn't too positive.

I've read it, but it was years and years ago. I remember being confused by the book more than anything; I think, though I could be wrong, that it wasn't clear that the guy was Holmes' son, and since I was reading the book for the Holmes connection, I don't remember enjoying it all that much.

Son of Holmes can only be described as a Stinker! My advice is don't waste valuable reading time on it. It's still in my collection because I can't throw anything with Holmes connections (however useless) away.

Well! I didn't end up buying it, but I'm glad I didn't either!
