Do you know if Stephen King goes by another name or has a pen name? Is it true he writes books under the name Bachman? And if yes, what is this new genre under this name?

Yes, Richard Bachman is the more commonly used of his pen names (according to Wikipedia, his other is John Swithen, under which he published one short story). I don't think that the Bachman stories are specifically a different genre from the stories that he publishes as Stephen King; one explanation has it that he just wanted to see if his stories could be as successful without the benefit of a famous name.
