Ace Doubles are indeed pretty cool. Actually, I'm kinda tempted to create a group for Ballantine Adult Fantasy, or maybe those yellow DAW SF paperbacks.
Not surprised to see a lot of Jack Vance up there at the moment, along with other excellent older writers.

I used to have a lot of these. I've got four left:
Soft Come the Dragons/Dark of the Woods, The Wagered World and Tonight We Steal the Stars (Ace Double), Code Duello / The Age of Ruin (Ace Double #H-103), The Mutant Weapon / the Pirates of Zan.
I might have 1 or 2 more around somewhere. Ace Double: Kenneth Bullmer, the Electric Sword-Swallowers and John Rackham, Beyond Capella (Ace Double, 05595) is one I know I used to have.

I'm only 24, I didn't 'grow up' with these, but I've incidently collected 20 of them because I was trying to collect everything John Brunner wrote, some of which is only avalible in these doubles.
