Cam Gigandet to wed

Twilight star, Cam Gigandet, who played James, is to wed his (pregnant) girlfriend, Dominique Geisendorff, according to the actor's father, Jay Gigandet, who was interviewed by America's In Touch Weekly magazine. They will marry after their baby is born this year and may marry in Russia where Cam will be filming.

Perhaps you'll disagree with me after reading it (if you plan to), but the book was pretty creepy, especially the part behind the mirror. That part was really disturbing. Since the movie is in animation format, it's toned down the creep factor, but the book gave me bad dreams so is more suited to fans of horror stories really. What do you think, MrsGrinch? No worries if you disagree. :)

Cam's latest hairstyle reminds me of one of David Beckham's many hairstyles.

Oh I said havent read the book. Thats why Im not going to see the movie. I know people who have read it though. They said the same thing.

Was wondering if it was just me so am glad I'm not alone. Imagine how creepy it would be to wander through a door in your house and find identical parents only they have buttons for eyes and say you can't leave until you become the same as them (if I recall that last part correctly), then this other mother punishes you by pushing you into a tiny closet-like room behind a mirror and you find lost children in there. Those were the creepiest parts to me. Couldn't stop thinking about those children. Kept me awake for nights.

Wish there was something else out there that was close to the Twilight series, but there doesn't seem to be. The synopses for other vampire stories don't sound nearly as exciting.

Ew!! That book sounds horrible! I like some good horror but that's a little too scary.
I love The Nightmare Before Christmas & The Corspe Bride too. They were both gothic and dark but had underlying tones of happiness and normality, if you get me. I loved The Corpse Bride especially and I felt so bad for the bride :(

I like The Corpse Bride too. But I like The Nightmare Before Christmas better. Tim Burton also did Sweeney Todd which I loved.

The Corpse Bride is one of my favs. My cousin cried when we watched The Nightmare Before Christmas because it was too scary. I've never seen Sweeney Todd.

Am adding this only coz it's toned down with the animation, but warn you that I find it creepy even in animation. That may be coz I vividly recall the disturbing parts of the book and how they haunted me so much when reading it though.

I only watched half of the trailer and got creeped out. Her parents are all happy and it scared me. I will read the book though. I'll have nightmares definitely but eh. I had nightmares after reading books from the Goosebumps Series. I am scared.

You're very brave. Coraline is much scarier than I imagine the Goosebumps series to see. Guess I should try reading one myself. Have a stack I've been collecting for my nephew. Which one would you recommend I start with (if I have it)?

If I recall correctly, yes, though no one could do that without killing themself. She has to accept them as her new family and I think the buttons would appear in her eye sockets if she did.

If you like horror stories, this is the book for you, but I have a hard time with stuff relating to harming children even if it is fiction. Just the mirror scene creeped me out for days.

Hermee, my favourite Goosebumps book is Camp Cold Lake & all three of the "Dummy" ones :D

I just read the summary for Coraline on wikipedia, it seems like a good book but horribly scary.

I saw the Dummy Movie for Goosebumps. It was my first "scary" movie. I don't think you can even call that scary though.

The book is wayyy worse, I had nightmares for yonks b/c of it. I was just so scared that a talking dummy was going to pop out of my wardrobe, I could hardly sleep.

I used to be afraid when Arthur on PBS got a really small cut at the garbage dump when I was 4. I can't believe I was really that afraid.
