Hello! This is my first book reading challenge, my second day as a member of Library Thing and my third post total on the site. I am happy to be here.
I love to read, but the thing is I don't much anymore. I am just too busy. I am in college, and I have a job, and a wife and a video game addiction. So I hope this challenge reestablish me as a reader.
I have also joined the 75 book challenge as well as the 999 challenge. I hope to complete all of them for a total of 81 books but I think its likely I won't finish them.
Here is my draft of my 9 topics for the 999 challenge...
1) Scifi (1/9)
2) Myrmecology (ants)
3) History, Labor
4) Quantum Physics/ theoretical Physics
5) Disabilities studies/ culture
6) Anarchism
7) Environmental
8) History, general
9) Fantasy
I only finished one book thus far this year, Starship Troopers. It was good, Heinlein always is, but his politics are all over the map. I can never agree with him, but the story is great.
I am currently reading several books, but will hopefully finish The Decision to Use the Atomic Bomb by Gar Alperovitz I am only about 50 pages in, of 800. This tomb should count sever times over, but thus far its crisp and informative and entertaining.

Hi, Corlew,
I joined LT for the same reason -- to get back into the reading habit again. And it worked! :) There are so many readers here and so many wonderful books mentioned, that it is easy to get back to reading. Good luck with your reading challenges!
