Hey everyone, I'm new to this site. Good to see people are still reading.

I've newly rediscovered my joy for books and I really hope I'll be able to make this challenge! 75 books is a challenge indeed.

Alright, so books on my (for now short) list so far:

William Blake Poems - ...
The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Guess I'll start with those 25 and we'll see where I end up. :)

Welcome! Quite a few people in the group are reading The Count of Monte Cristo this year, so we were thinking about starting it as a group read this summer. Please join if you are interested!

Yay, another potential Count of Monte Cristo participant! I also see you have Dorian Gray on there... It's on my list to finish too, since I found it on my bookshelf a few weeks ago with a bookmark halfway through. o_O

Hey everyone! Thank you for the welcome! I'll see where I get with my reading. I'd love to join the group read, it sounds interesting! I'm almost through Fellowship of the Ring! Haven't had much time to read, what with midterm exams and such, but let's hope the amount of reading I accomplish will drastically improve in the coming time!

If anyone has any other suggestions, books I should add to my to-read list, I'd love to hear them!!

you have a lot of classics on there Elysianphoenix! Is this the year you decided to catch up on those? I'm waiting for such a year myself, but keep putting it off, unfortunately. It's really annoying when everyone assumes I've read LOTR and I haven't, but I suppose I will have to at some point ;) Sam goes for many other classics... Also, a little recommendation if I may: I see that you're planning to read The Old Curiosity Shop and Great Expectations by Dickens; I've read both and I must say that IMHO his Our Mutual Friends is better than both of them. Good luck with your challenge!

I have read 15 of the 25 books you have listed and will be quite interested in finding how you liked them. One book in particular, The Picture of Dorian Gray is an all time favourite, maybe the best book I ever read! It undoubtedly has the best preface ever, be sure that you dont miss it!
