According to the January 19th issue of Time magazine there were ~500 earthquakes in Yellowstone National Park between December 26th and January 1st. Obviously, this is triggering fears of the "massive hydrothermal explosion" that has been predicted to happen there someday, potentially devastating large parts of North America.

Ha! On another thread somewhere, I recently posted links for the Cascades Volcano Observatory and the Alaska Volcano Observatory. Your post sent me scrambling to see what the USGS might have to say about Yellowstone, and I was surprised to find that they have their very own Yellowstone Volcano Observatory.
