See the top 100 here: http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/2009-01-14-top-100-titles_N.htm with an article on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling series here: http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/2009-01-14-top-sellers-main_N.htm
Yep. The four books in the Twilight series are at the top of the list, but gee, why wouldn't they be? :D

Oooo there's a bunch of books on that list that I like...horray Dr Seus lol...and a book i horribly dislike (The Catcher in the Rye) though reading it in high school might have ruined it for me

Ooh, you just mentioned the book I most hate in the world ... Catcher in the Rye. Wouldn't even give it half a star. Did you know it took the author 20 years to write? Twenty years (it's small too) and nothing happens in it. Kept reading it coz I figured the big moment would happen any minute, but alas, it never came.
Dr. Seuss' stories, on the other hand, make for a fun read at least.

I think green eggs would be funky in a good way :)
It beats boring old yellow and white ones.

In the movie Little Voice, Mari Hoff is so bad at housework that everything in her fridge is really outdated. When her boyfriend, Ray Say, cracks an egg open after finding it in her fridge, it's so rotten it's green. So that's what I think when I think of green eggs and ham. Blech.

Message 14- My real name is Mari! Well, Mari is short for Marianna.
Message 15- I didn't see the movie, but I saw the play, my cousin was in it. And then my friend said, Horton is hearing many whoos at the moment, he's busy. I cracked up!

# 18: If you go to this link, it explains why Stephenie might not publish it. At the end of that section is a link that says Midnight Sun Partial Draft so you can read the first 12 chapters in draft form: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/midnightsun.html. That's not to be confused with the link at the bottom of the page by the way, which only leads you to chapter one.

^ Newest news is, from an interview, that she'll probably start writing it again in two years, when all the hype's died down :)

Two years? Aargh, the torture. What to do till then? What to do. *Walks off muttering to herself.*

Re-read them? Will be able to recite them verbatim by that time. *Rolls eyes to ceiling.* Hmm ... on second thoughts, we could have the DVDs of the first three movies then too so there's hope after all.
25bombardalicious2
I know I say this alot but I soooo hope they're making a Breaking Dawn movie!

Summit bought the rights to it so they are planning on producing it. They just haven't given the green light on the production of it most likely because they want to see how well New Moon does. Making movies is a huge risk financially coz you're gambling on public reaction. You're banking on them doing well at the box office so it's critical that they succeed at any time, but it's even riskier during a recession and especially if you're a small studio that doesn't have as many dollars in reserve. The failure of one movie for a small studio can drastically deplete that reserve.
Until very recently, Summit was thinking of merging with Lions Gate because it would have been a good financial move for them (they may have been losing money or just breaking even), but due to the success of Twilight, they ceased negotiations. New Moon's budget was then increased from Twilight's 37 million to 100 million. However, they have to make that back plus a huge profit and that makes it a financial risk, especially in today's economy. If the movie doesn't do well, they may have to rethink the merge so they don't go bankrupt.
It's especially hard during a recession coz people out of work are using all or most of their money just on paying bills so luxuries like going to the movies take a backseat. If movie studios don't make as much as they predicted, they may have to start laying off people (i.e. Disney and Warner Bros. who recently laid off thousands of employees). When a major movie studio lays off workers, you have to prepare yourself for the fact that others may follow (the domino effect) and that's two already. Smaller ones have got to be hurting too.

They are making a movie :) That's definite but the release date isn't. For now it's 2011 but I doubt it will be ready by then (with all the CGI)

Yay!

I just got finished reading all 4 books, I know they have been out a long while, I loved them, even got sick reading them all in a week, I read slow, it's the first series in a long time that I have enjoyed and couldn't put down. I needed a mental break and got one. Sometimes I really wish love was like this.
