In a new interview (and I won't tell you with whom as it's got some inappropriate stuff in it), Daniel Radcliffe spoke briefly about his former co-star, Potter alum and Twilight star, Robert Pattinson. He spoke about the comment made by Rob, that given any chance, the ladies would chose Dan over him. Here is what Dan has to say:

INTERVIEWER
Have you contacted your co-star in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix — Robert Pattinson — to give him any advice about his own sudden fame because of the Twilight films? He was once quoted as saying that if given a choice between himself and you, that girls would choose you every time.

DAN
I don’t have his number, so haven’t spoken to him. But I can safely say that his insisting that girls would choose me over him that they would not. That they do not. He is the much prettier and can be much more charming. And he can do that thing of being sultry and sexy.

INTERVIEWER
Yet in Equus you have a nude scene eight times a week. You’re flashing around your Elder Wand for all the world to see.

DAN
But I don’t know how to be sexy. Rob can just sort of stand there and look at something and start to smolder. And I just can’t do that. I’m a natural fidget.

So ... confirmation from Dan himself that Rob's "dazzling" ... but we all knew that, right? ;)

Definitely ;)

Is Dan calling Rob sexy...?

4Hermee
Jan 30, 2009, 8:36 pm

Yeah, but not in the sense that he fancies him. Either he's seen him around girls/women so can see their reaction to him, or he's seen Twilight and is as amazed as we are about Rob's talent for dazzling. Considering the former though, Rob has said in interviews that he's not been on a date in a very long time and that he's not had much success with girls/women. The reason he got into acting was because he was with his dad one day in a cafe and some girls were on the next table talking about an acting audition at a local theater, and his dad said to Rob that he should do that so he could meet girls.

Seriously? In one interview, he said "acting is my back-up plan if my music fails". I hope his music fails, he's much too good an actor to throw it away if his music gets popular :)

You can read it here, Nicky, below the pictures: http://www.robert-pattinson.co.uk/?p=7951

You sure you have that quote the right way round? He's consistently said that his music is a career backup plan should his film roles dry up.

Oh .. sorry, I thought it was the other way around :)

He may have said it the other way around just to be different. He has got a wicked sense of humor where he's quoted stuff in jest that many have taken seriously. He's made many comments about his hygiene, for instance, but when someone referred to him not bathing regularly, he was shocked and made a comment that inferred he did bathe regularly. He just doesn't wash his hair nearly as often. I don't believe he went for six weeks without washing it. Am sure that's just Rob joking around. Kristen's also said that Rob tends to say stuff in jest.

Nicky, Rob's said here that he'd rather think of himself as a creator rather than actor, which is a good description to encompass both his acting and music career: http://www.showbizspy.com/article/181648/robert-pattinsons-acting-embarrassment

I really hope he's not doing Parts of a Billion so he can create more music. I saw an interview somewhere where he said something that effect, but am not sure if he's planning on writing more than one. Would be great if Jackson could get a song or two on the next soundtrack as well. :)

Thanks :)
I heard about him not washing his hair for long periods either, I thought that was not true, as his hair always looks clean. And yeah, that guy's a big joker, alright :D

11Hermee
Feb 2, 2009, 2:29 am

Hmm, well his hair has looked greasy enough to fry chips in in one video, but six weeks is highly exaggerated.

Tried to find the video for you, Nicky, so you could see how greasy it was. If I come across it, I'll post it in here.

Did you hear about what Stephen King said about
Stephenie Meyer?
He said she "Couldn't write worth a darn"
UGHHHHHH!

16MissTessaWeasley
Feb 3, 2009, 8:53 pm

Did Stephen King really say that??
Aw man, I thought he had good taste in books, too....

17MrsGrinch
Edited: Feb 3, 2009, 8:55 pm

yeah. I wonder if he thinks J.K. Rowling is mediocre and
Scott F. Fitzgerald is annoying. Jk.

18MissTessaWeasley
Feb 3, 2009, 8:58 pm

That's what caught me off guard, cuz I know he loves JKR's books and has done events with her and stuff.

19ibetonalice2
Feb 3, 2009, 9:08 pm

Yeah.
Did you look it up?

20Hermee
Feb 3, 2009, 9:13 pm

No, he's a huge fan of JKR's writing and the Harry Potter series. Read that in an interview with him right after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out.

Who cares though, right? No matter how many say it, Stephenie's not sold millions because she's a bad writer. The numbers speak for themselves. Although ... I really really really really really didn't care for Catcher in the Rye and that has a lot of fans. It's all a matter of taste really. We can never all like all the same books. We'd be automatons if we did.

21MrsGrinch

I completely agree.

Feb 3, 2009, 11:20 pm

who is stephen king?

23Hermee
Edited: Feb 3, 2009, 11:53 pm

He's a very popular, famous author who's written a large amount of fantasy and horror books and won many awards. Here's a link to his books (and awards), but brace yourself before clicking on it coz his pic at this site ... well it creeps me out: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/k/stephen-king/. Many of his books have been turned into movies as well by the way.

I've never read one by him actually. Has anyone else?

24G.A.B.E
Feb 4, 2009, 12:38 am

Oh my Gosh, Athina, you haven't heard of him?? You are a funny one. I'll tell you tomorrow who is his :)
Stephen King also said he does see the appeal Twilight has so .. yeah but I can't disagree with him exactly, SMeyer isn't the best author by far, JKR tops her in so many levels but I love Twilight and no one's gonna diss it with me around - jokes, what can a thirteen year old girl do?

25All.Time.Lunatic.xX
