If you scream loud enough a month or so before New Moon's released and get a ton more Aussie TwiHards to join in, perhaps they'll hear you and pay a visit. ;)

Feb 4, 2009, 2:21 am

Yes! Or that chick that can will anything into reality, I think it was Maggie from the Irish coven (right?)

9Hermee
Feb 4, 2009, 2:31 am

Maggie has the gift of knowing when she is lied to and therefore is firmly trusted by her mates.

Siobhaun does not think she has a gift, but it is believed that she can influence events by wishing or concentrating very hard.

You had me there coz I was trying to remember who had which power. Thought it was Siobhaun, but wasn't positive, so had to look it up to refresh my memory.

Feb 4, 2009, 2:35 am

That's right, thanks :) My brain is frizzling out in the heat, that with my bad memory, it's a catastrophe (sp?)
If I have Siobohaun's gift, then I'd get the WHOLE Twilight/New Moon cast down here :)

Ooh, you live in Chicago? I lived there for six months once just off North Michigan and loved it. All those cozy little bistros, a wonderful theater (saw Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat there which was amazing), amazing museum (the Metropolitan), the best factory outlets mall I've seen in the States and the people are so nice. Was really sorry to leave it ... well, except for that wind chill factor during the freeeeeeeeeezing cold winter. Coldest place I've ever been in my life. Brr.

How exciting that you get to go. You'll have to tune back in with all the goss. Would love to hear all about it. Can you give Carlisle a hug for me? He's positively scrumptious. :D

LOL I sooooooooooo hope i get to go!!!!!!!! I live close to Chicago, but my Dad works over there. Its nice and your right about the cold! I also saw Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat ans it was at Drury (sp) Lane. Where do you live?

15Hermee
Feb 5, 2009, 7:23 pm

Live in Southern California now. Was in 1995 that I saw Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat and it starred Donny Osmond who was amazing in it. They also had a children's choir in it and all the children sang like angels. It was so beautiful.

Psychology. I want to be a psychologist :) I think it'll be fascinating.

21Hermee
Feb 7, 2009, 9:49 pm

A good profession. What do you want to do after gaining your degree? Work with children or adults?

22G.A.B.E
Feb 7, 2009, 10:11 pm

Both! :) Mostly teens, I think :)

23Hermee
Feb 7, 2009, 10:27 pm

What made you choose psychology as a career path? Does one of your parents work with children/teens in foster care by any chance?

Me and my one friend are in a huge fight over who gets Edward! Me of course! I'm gonna win and I'm not given up!

Feb 7, 2009, 11:22 pm

Message 23: Nope, I watch alot of crime shows like Criminal Minds (my fav), CSI, House, NCIS, Law & Order (another fav) and I always loved how they got into their minds and determined the truth.
Message 24: Your fighting is pointless since Edward and I are happily married :P

Feb 9, 2009, 12:22 am

At least you'll be better than SMeyer's editor, Alice, Megan Tiggley obviously can't read very well, lots of typos. Oops, I come across as ungrateful NOT TRUE - I just take my English VERY seriously :)

30Hermee
Feb 9, 2009, 2:30 am

I recall a few missing words within the series, but no typos. Are you sure you're not confusing them with words spelled differently in the States, Nicky? For example (and the first spelling is the spelling in Australia):

Favorite = favourite
Recognise = recognize
Realise = realize
Theatre = theater
Jewellry = jewelry
Practice and practise = practice
Defence and defense = defense
Up-to-date = up to date
No-one = no one

If you look a word up in an Aussie dictionary, the Aussie spelling is listed first with the U.S. listed second. It's in the reverse in an American dictionary.

Having said that, books here are usually published overseas using the English language instead of American English and vice versa so it could be that the publisher responsible for those published in Aussie hasn't changed the American spelling of some words.

31ibetonalice2
Feb 10, 2009, 7:59 pm

The word stopped is spelled "stoppedd" in Eclipse.
That is one of the errors I caught.
There were a few others that I don't remember.

32G.A.B.E
Feb 11, 2009, 1:39 am

Nope, there were definitely typos :) A couple of times she spelt Rosalie as Roaslie. And a few others I can't remember. I saw that too, Alice :)

33Hermee
Feb 11, 2009, 6:18 pm

Oops. Made a typo above. I put favorite in the Aussie column so it should be reversed with favourite.

Don't remember those typos and I have a good eye for them so I must have forgotten them. I only remember missing words.

34G.A.B.E
Feb 12, 2009, 7:45 pm

Aren't those typos too? Or are typos only incorrect spelling?

35Hermee
Feb 12, 2009, 8:08 pm

Typos means incorrect spelling.

36Hermee
Feb 12, 2009, 8:12 pm

Wait ... do you mean is American spelling correct? If so, yes it is. It's just classified as American English.

37G.A.B.E
Feb 13, 2009, 1:27 am

No. I meant does typo only classify incorrect spelling, not other grammatic mistakes :)

38Hermee
Feb 13, 2009, 2:55 am

Oh, no it means anything you type that's incorrect so would cover both.

39G.A.B.E
Feb 13, 2009, 3:39 am
