Very cool to see some folks have taken the nibble here on Library Thing. Consier this one tool for the discovery and identification for a New Media Reading List -- (between us, it says there are 1225 books!).
So now, we do some collaboration and refine it on a wiki page I just set up:

And help define some useful categories. How many references ought to be listed? How should we rank them? Is anyone willing to write some summaries to suggest why a book is important? Should we do an article list? academic papers?
