I pick randomly, mostly based on authors I like, genres I adore and whatever covers look cool. This is all I have read so far, also not really the right order.
1-The Dangerous Days of Daniel X
2-Evolution's Darling
3-The Fetch
4-Haunting Of Alaizabel Cray
5-Key of Knowledge
6-Key of Light
7-Marked (House of Night, Book 1)
8-Poison
9-Wizard's Curse: Trinistyr Trilogy: Vol I (Dragonlance: The New Adventures)
I added some of these way after I read them or, because I just recently joined LT. Some of these books have reviews, some do not. Check my library if you want to know.

Hello! How was Wizard's Curse: Trinistyr Trilogy: Vol I? Once upon a time, I was all caught up on the Dragonlance books but for some reason, I stopped reading them (I think I got tired of all the original characters dying). Dragonlance is one of the series I want to go back and reread this year, though. I've purchased the Raistlin Chronicles, but haven't actually started. So many other things to read....

Welcome - have fun reading this year! Just a tip, if you put square brackets around a book title or double square brackets around an author's name, then they become touchstones. Other members can click on them and be taken straight to the book's page.

How was The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray? I have had it on my wishlist forever.

I'm also curious about Alaziabel. But looks like we have similar tastes, I'll have to get ideas from what you read :)
Is the book Poison you read by Gail Bell or by a different author?

Ok, to answer peoples questions.
Wizards Curse-Loved it. Adored it. Couldn't help it, I fell in love with the main elf character.
Alaizabel Cray was an awesome, scary, mysterious book. Check out my review, I really enjoyed this book though it gave me the creeps.
Poison was by Chris Wooding and it was very interesting, sometimes grossly specific but a good read.
Feel free to check my reviews, cause I just started and would like to know if they are good. ^_^

How is the Leven Thumps series (use the square brackets right above the ' key rather than the parentheses)? I've been eyeing them, but they looked very derivative. What is the quality of the story and writing?

Thanks to your comments, I'm adding The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray to my tbr list.

Thanks, guess I am not very observant.
Leven Thumps is a good series, but can get a bit random. I found it funny but definitely not one of my top 5 or even top 10 series. The quality seems to change in each book, sometimes it is like a silly children's book and others like a teen fantasy book. The only thing that prompted me to even pick it up was because I met the author, or at least saw him speak. Personally I think it gets better as you go, but that is only for some parts.
Cool Whisper1! Hope you like it, I enjoyed it. ^_^

Howdy, ninjabluedemon! I'm going to be looking for that The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray, though it may be too scary for me!

I thought so too, and I was way to scared to read it at night. But I might just be a scaredy cat so go for it. It's an interestingly, terrifying scary tale.

27.City of Bones (Mortal Instruments)
28.Blue Bloods
29.Warrior Princess
30.Hellboy: Odd Jobs
31.Into the wild
Would have had more, except the series I chose turned out to be a lost cause so I must find a better one. Blue Bloods, Warriors and House of Night are all series I am starting or re-reading, so I will post again at a later time!

What did you think of City of Bones? I recently bought it and am trying to decide where on the tbr to put it :)

I thought it was interesting. The emotions and personalities kept it going, though the ending removed all hopes of a future relationship between a certain two. The twists and characters were fascinating, though if you have other books you really want to read you might do them first. This book seemed mainly for fun. Still good.

What did you think of the ending of Certain Slant of Light?

34ninjabluedemon
Sep 23, 2009, 11:28 pm

I read it awhile ago, but I believe I really liked it. Not exactly sure how it ended, but I remember the steps leading to it and I think I was satisfied with the end.
Sorry, -.0' wish I could give a better answer but I know I really loved the book and enjoyed the ending,

35katelisim
Sep 24, 2009, 4:00 pm

No worries :)

I haven't come across anyone that has brought up the book before, so I was curious to see if anyone else thought what I did.

I really liked the book up until the end(last 2-5pgs I think). It felt all downer for the entire book, and ended happily--a little too abruptly for me, with all unhappy loose ends tied up in happy bows.
