After clicking the button on the books I want periodically, I've finally resorted to writing the publishing companies and the authors and requesting that they make their books available in Kindle format. The range of replies has been everything from "it's coming" to "What's a Kindle?" The latter makes me think Amazon needs to do a better job at getting the word out. These were major authors that hadn't heard of the Kindle (and maybe the authors need to do a better job of getting themselves out :) ).

I wonder about clicking on that Tell the Publisher! link. Is it of any real value? Or is it just some placebo, like a lot of those buttons they have on traffic signals for pedestrians to push when they want to get across?

Well placebos can make US feel better, right? :)
I routinely click on Tell The Publisher. Who can say whether it does any good?
