Laughing Boy, by Oliver LaFarge.
I finished this book last night; here's my review. This was an interesting read and I was surprised by its emotional impact, especially at the end.
I knew next to nothing about LaFarge and relied on this Wikipedia article for enlightenment. Most of his writings -- many of which were nonfiction -- dealt with Native Americans and related causes.
