Interesting group this... I thought I'd take stock of my reading habits and collection against the 1001 list.
At the minute , the books I've read and own are:
1. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time – Mark Haddon
2. Trainspotting – Irvine Welsh
3. Complicity – Iain Banks
4. The Crow Road – Iain Banks
5. American Psycho – Bret Easton Ellis
6. The Wasp Factory – Iain Banks
7. Nights at the Circus – Angela Carter
8. Crash – J.G. Ballard
9. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – Hunter S. Thompson
10. 2001: A Space Odyssey – Arthur C. Clarke *
11. One Hundred Years of Solitude - Gabriel García Márquez
12. The Master and Margarita – Mikhail Bulgakov
13. A Clockwork Orange – Anthony Burgess
14. To Kill a Mockingbird – Harper Lee
15. On the Road – Jack Kerouac
16. The Lord of the Rings – J.R.R. Tolkien
17. Junkie – William Burroughs
18. The Catcher in the Rye – J.D. Salinger
19. Animal Farm – George Orwell
21. The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien
22. Brave New World – Aldous Huxley
The only book that I have but haven't gotten round to reading yet is
135. Birdsong – Sebastian Faulks.
Any recommendations folks have and you think I may enjoy, please let me know.
