Midnight Sun

Okay. Before I begin, if you haven't read New Moon, or Twilight, I wouldn't continue.

**********SPOILERS**********
I'm actually not sure if this counts as a spoiler, but, oh well. There will be a book-the last one in the Twilight series- that will be in our favorite character's point of view, Edward Cullen. It will be called "Midnight Sun", and if you go to this website: http://stepheniemeyer.com/otherprojects_midnightsun.html you can read about it, and you can also read the first chapter. I have it memorized, and downloaded on my computer. ^-^ I LOVE IT!! Our friend Stephenie has done a tremendous job putting the book that started it all into a different point of view. Enjoy.

I simply love it. It's so fascinating to see everything in Edward's point of view, and I'm looking forward to it even more than Eclipse!

OMG!! That part was sooooo funny! *although it is kind of gross, seeing as how she's like, 50* lol. it's like "She was right, according to my drivers' liscense. But she was way too right beyond her imagination." OMG, I was laughing 'till I cried.

immediately got off the net and called my friends. i'm still laughing just to think about it. it'll hit me while i'm at work and people will ask me what's wrong and then i have to say nothing. and it is still hilarious.

omg its absolutely hilarious! actually i recomend all of u guys go to www.fanfiction.net there is a story called "the lion and the lamb". its exactly what steph's working on(u know twilight in ed's pov). its so good that steph herself emails and called the girl who wrote it. its really fnny and even if u don't want to read it at least read chapter 10 of the story-its when emmett and ed go hunting while bella's at first beach in la push, emmett is soooo funny!

my computer is not letting me see it so i can only read it during school which i can only be on the internet for like 5 min so i haven't gotten to read the whole chapter but so far it looks GREAT

I can not wait till Midnight Sun. Read the first chapter, LOVE IT!! God, it's all Edward, which explains the me loving it...lol. And the "Too young, too young" thing, cracked me up!

I want this book soooooo badly. It's a shame that Stephenie can't concentrate entirely. Even though that's just because she's writing the rest of the series, we know a lot more about this book than the others, which is why I wan't it so badly. I loved the first chapter, it's so great to see what was happening on the other side of things.

Lion and the Lamb is great as well. If you read any bits of it, read Chapter 21 as well as Chapter 10. (Chapter 21 is the meadow scene). Apparently, it's pretty different to what happens in the real Midnight Sun, but it's still a great read.

Hi. I'm new to this group, but I'm absolutely addicted to the series! Twilight is my top favorite book!! I got it two weeks ago and I've read it four times. Anyway, when I read the first chapter of Midnight Sun I flipped. I loved it. I can't believe it won't be published until all the other books in the series are out! It's unbelievable. I'm going to go read that fan fiction now so thanks for the suggestion.

I think Stephenie's definately writing Eclipse(3), Breaking Dawn (4) and Midnight Sun (Edward's Twilight). I heard that after that she'll might consider writing more.

#30: She's now decided she will, and I'm pretty sure it's been decided, though I could be wrong. I think she said somewhere that she wanted it realeased as a novel because it would be longer (because apparently, Edward overthinks everything) and that she would like a bound copy next to her copy of Twilight.

If you want to know a round about time on when Midnight sun is coming out go to Stephenie Meyers official website and go under other projects. It has a round about date for the release. I think it is sometime in 2008 so it really isn't that long. But I can't wait to read the whole thing. Or eclipse either!

Apparently, Stephenie's incomplete draft of Midnight Sun was leaked (first 12 chapters) and now she has decided to postpone it indefinitely. :,(

I agree - such a hugely inappropriate thing for that person she trusted with the manuscript to do. And now we are all denied the pleasure of reading Edward's perspective.

Well, she did release more of it on her website than she originally had. But still....I really want the book in its entirety. And it has me worried about her other works. (Like sequels to The Host and the like.)

just found out about midnight sun; my friend emailed me. WHY?!?! stupid people who posted the manuscript.. now we can't have it.. oh well, i hope she'll carry it on in future if not now. i know what she means about how if she continued with it in her current frame of mind she would kill off all the characters; i have moments like that where i'm upset and i just want to screw up the main characters of my many stories. usually i just avoiding when like that, though. so i understand where she's coming from.

I haven't read the posted draft on her site yet, but I plan on it. Does anyone else feel guilty for reading it? She is so upset, I feel horrible for wanting to read it. I really hope that she is able to forgive what happened and continue working on it someday, it's too beautiful a story to give up on because one person made a mistake, no matter the severity of it.

I haven't been able to bring myself to read it yet, but I wouldn't feel guilty about it, unless you're the person who leaked it. ;) (Then you should know that we're all cursing your name hourly!)

I just reminded myself of something funny. I have two friends who have yet to begin reading the series, and they both called me, frantically asking if I knew about what happened with the "last book," as they called it, of the series... Apparently they were concerned about my obsession with the books and my well being when I heard the bad news! hahaha!

Well, a number of news sources were reporting Midnight Sun as the final installment in the series, as opposed to a supplemental or companion book.

I love (the first 15 chapters) midnight sun! I read it sometime last month. I can't wait for the whole book. SM says she would love to see it on the bookshelves, and I hope that is enough motivation(sp?) for her to publish it.
