Bestest, most favoritest, most OTTpiest conspiracy theory!

This board's been a little dull, so I'll throw one up here. Courtesy of Ken Hite, it's the most peculiar JFK assassination theory I can recall after a mild dose of liquor. Ready?

JFK wasn't the only person killed that day. Off in jolly ol' England, both George Orwell and C.S. Lewis perished. Interestingly, both had written books about mind-controlling dystopias (respectively, 1984 of course, and Lewis' That Hideous Strength). Why did no one notice the simultaneous deaths of two speculative fiction masters? Why, because of the OBVIOUSLY MORE IMPORTANT death of JFK in Dallas.

Your turn.

Aldous Huxley and C.S. Lewis, not Orwell.

That's what they want you to think!

That's what they want you to thin - the great cry of the conspiracy hack.

Forget over the top - the conspiracy that is currently making me mad is the death of Diana. How much money can be spent in proving that she died in a car crash? They could have cleared all the landmines in the world with the money they have squandered on the obvious. Does all this effort make any difference? No! There are individuals out there who will always believe that the Royal Family had her assassinated due to her popularity. Following the same logic, I'm going to suggest that Freddie Mercury didn't die of HIV related illnesses but was eliminated by the other three members of Queen because they could no longer live in his shadow.

"That's what they want you to thin" -- oh yes, and now we bump up against the ugly tip of the diabolical weight-loss self-image obsession conspiracy iceberg of the western patriarchy, desperately attempting to keep a generation of women caged through a relentless PR onslaught of heroin-chic waif models!

#3 - interesting! So where were they hiding Orwell for thirteen years, do you think? ;-)
