102. The Merchant of Death by D.J. MacHale. A YA that was very simple. A good premise about moving between worlds, some nice characters, just simple.
103. Four-Day Planet by H. Beam Piper. A reread, and still pretty good.
104. Little Fuzzy and 105. Fuzzy Sapiens by H. Beam Piper. Both reread, both still good.
106. Fuzzy Bones by William Tuning. I prefer this to end the trilogy, as opposed to Fuzzies and Other People, although it doesn't fit into Terro-Human Future History of H. Beam Piper. Then I read
107. Uller Uprising and 108. Space Viking which I enjoyed.
And then 109. I read several short stories covering quite alot of time in the Terro-Human Future History. They are Edge of the Knife, Omnilingual, Naudsonce, Oomphel in the Sky, Cosmic Computer, A Slave is a Slave, Ministry of Disturbance and The Keeper. (No touchstone for the last.) Enjoyed them all.

and before I forget, 110. Time Crime by H. Beam Piper. I went on a Piper trip, through the years and into alternate dimensions, now back on planet earth until I can get away again. (Thanks for the trip, Mr. Piper!)

Got you starred again!

Having loved Piper's Fuzzy series, I feel it is incumbent upon me to read Time Crime. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, Piper's Fuzzies are my favorite alien species. Cute, cuddly and smart and they can tell good guys from bad guys on sight.

111. Holiday In Death by J.D. Robb. Still amusing, so I will continue with the series.
112. Fledgling by Sharon Lee. I read this online last year, it is now out in an ARC, so I picked it up. The story is better developed than the last one, which I expected. Worth looking for if you enjoy the Liaden universe.
113. Silent Night anthology. It had the story 'Midnight In Death' by J.D. Robb. That was the best story, the first one was ok.
114. Conspiracy In Death by J.D. Robb. Still enjoyable.
115. The Tomorrow Log by Sharon Lee. Another story in the Liaden universe, the stories by Sharon and Steve are very enjoyable, they also seem to continue after the particular episode being relayed is finished. I like the created universe and story-telling abilities of these two, and look for everything they write.

#10: I admit, Conspiracy in Death is my favorite book in the series. I am glad you are still enjoying it!

I'm a big Liaden fan as well. I read Fledgling online as well, and am glad to know it is coming out. With Saltation, the sequel, I subscribed so should receive a copy whenever it is published. I also have everything Lee and Miller have written except for Duainfey and its sequel, and their books are some of my favorite comfort reads.

ETA but I am a little irritated that they have written TWO books and still haven't gotten Theo at Solcintra with her "kind of complicated" problem at the end of I Dare. At this rate, we'll never get to the point where we progress beyond that scene!

I agree, it is irritating to have this much written and still have little clue about what the "kind of complicated" problem could be. But their writing is, imo, so good that it should be worth it when they get to that point. They better hurry and get there, though.

116. Matters of the Blood by Maria Lima. Another entry, with a different twist, into the paranormal subgenre. In particular, the vampire doesn't believe in shapeshifters. Hving to convince one (mythical) creature that a different (mythical) creature exists tickles my funny bone, what can I say?

117. Demon Mistress by Yasmine Galenorn. The sixth in this series and the second from the viewpoint of Menolly, the youngest sister. (In each book the POV shifts from one of the three heroes to the next.) The only problem I have is each sister is more dominant when it is their POV being shown. While it is true that each of us remembers the same situations and events differently having a little more consistency in which sibling is in charge would, I think, make for a better overall story. Still I enjoy these quite a bit.

118. Loyalty In Death and 119. Witness In Death by J.D. Robb. I have several more of these on hand and should be finished with them soon. Fortunately, I have a little way to go to finish up the series. As the characters keep growing and the relationships evolve, I will read and enjoy.

You're creating a serious JD Robb envy in me :) Inspired by your post on What we're reading SF I picked up a Norton I bought in a used book store in Amsterdam!!! (Happiness joy joy)

Yeah, I saw the haul you made, got some good ones. Sorry about creating the envy, but I have enjoyed those JD Robb books, the characters keep growing and evolving and making simple changes, alot like real life.

But in all honesty I am really enjoying the JD Robb. I read other books interspersed with these, but since I have been away and only have a minute to update I will update with the JD Robb and any others I can remember. Therefor, 120. Betrayal In Death, 121. Seduction In Death, 122. Reunion In Death, 123. Purity In Death, 124. Portrait In Death, 125.

137. New Amsterdam by Elizabeth Bear. Several short stories about the vampire Sebastian and tough sorceress Abigail Irene Garrett. Set in an alternate universe, I am not generally a fan of short stories but she does a very good job. and just to round things out 138-140 are Grantville Gazette Volume 22, 23 and 24. There are a couple of others but I am going away for another week (going up to Bear Lake on the Utah/Idaho border) so will try to get them listed when I get back. Hope you all have a great time as well.
