Ha, nice. I was just given Fight Club to read with a glowing recommendation and, well, yes.

I'm glad I finally got around to reading it, except for the fact that it was predictable plot with predictable themes with an appeal to outrageousness. What with all the hoopla the book/film receive, I didn't expect to figure out all the major plot turns and the ultimate ending in chapter three. (I went in knowing only the Rules, nothing else about the book.)

I feel like Chuck is an acquired taste.

First time: yuck. Later: hmmmm.

I've read Diary and Choke and have no interest in reading any more. I feel the same about Douglas Coupland - two books, two chances, two thumbs down.
