Yay, found your thread! I'm leaving this as a placemarker so I can check out what you're reading. :-) here's mine if you want to check it out.
Oh, and if you want to make the titles blue (touchstones) use the square brackets around it, that'll link to the book's work page. See ya!

Ok so I went off my own reading list and read Bled Dry by Erin McCarthy. OK for a fast read if you like very graphic, off-color detail. But I love vampire books so it was a fun one. Not something I'd recommend.

LOL...sorry, but that's slightly contradictory, no? :-)

haha yea I guess it is, ok to explain that further: To me the book was fun on the basis that it was about vampires but it's not something that I would recommend to someone looking for a good book based on the incredibly sexual details which basically make up the entirety of the story. The plot line and story in itself is cute and the romances are fun but there's a lot of sexual "filler" that could have been left out without damaging the integrity of the story.

haha...that explains it. Thanks. :-) Have you looked into Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series? I just read the first one, Storm Front which was pretty good. Kind of a blend between mystery/PI and fantasy (wizards and magic and vampires...) that you might enjoy.

I think you told me about that one before, sounds interesting...maybe over the summer when I'm not swamped with school I'll be able to pick up something other than a programming book :)

currently reading Vampire Stories. A collection of short tales relating to (my favorite subject) vampires. I was pleasantly surprised to find yesterday that one such story was an excerpt from Dracula which was removed from the novel and published as its own short story. The most fun part of it was that I could see exactly where in the story it would have been placed were it to be left as a part of the whole novel.

LOL...you know Dracula that well then...wow. Do you ever fit in a short story between classes? I always had a book in my bag at school but had to make sure it was one that I could put down after a short amount of time between classes (though in all honesty, I did sometimes read during class, but it was always a book that was required for another one...).

haha sadly my "between classes" time this semester is 15 minutes while my professor goes to his office in back, so no I never get any reading time other than random cramming to prepare for class xD next month I will catch up on all the reading I haven't been able to do during the semester, and next semester I'm gonna have hour breaks in betwen classes where, if not swamped with homework, I'll be able to have some downtime to read :)

oh believe me...15 minutes between classes IS reading time. Just not long enough... :-) But hour-long breaks will be better I'm sure.

haha 15 minutes between classes is cram time this semester, I've been so busy with assignments that I've had no time for anything else...YAY WINTER BREAK!!! :D
14MaidenVampyr
haha over winter break I managed to read Mr. Darcy, Vampyre...AND nothing else lol...I am now 2 days into the semester and already experiencing a total mental overload, YAY SCHOOL!
