Actually, looking closer, one of the references is from December. I guess the key thing is that the number of users,* books** and works***has grown dramatically since the August anniversary last year, so the new stats are probably worth putting in the LibraryThing entry.
* The number of LT users was 138,667 at 01:48:52 AM EST today.
** Number of books cataloged: 9,782,558 @ same time.
*** Number of unique works : 1,655,477 @ same time.
