Did I Say That?

Today I told my daughter:

Just wait one minute because I'm going to go outside to do the laundry.

Or mow the lawn. Whatever.

Oh dear. Time to lie down?

maybe you were reverting back to a previous time? lye soap, washboards, ya know?

Do you have a river or a stream in your backyard?

So long as you don't stay inside to mow the lawn...

The most important question here is...Did you continue on outside with as much dignity as possible? LOL Hey if people don't know that all the really cool folk call mowing laundry, then that is their problem, right?

My seven year old insists I said mow the laundry. That would be silly.

I think I just have too much to do and my to do list is getting shaken up in my brain. :o)

And you have never said anything silly so you certainly didn't say mow the laundry. ;)

I know I have a million misspeaks but of course I can't think of a single one right now.

JP, mixing up mowing and laundry is pretty funny! I usually mix up mowing and vacuuming. I have said more than once that I need to mow the carpet or vacuum the lawn.

I don't usually mix up words so much as single letters. I'm friends with a married couple named Dennis and Jenny and I routinely refer to them as Denny and Jennis. And then there's an intersection near my house of the streets Mill and Diehl (pronounced "deal") that always gets slipped up as Meal and Dill.

I've always said that it's just a sign of my brain working so fast that my mouth can't keep up. ;)

LOL! And all I did was look at that and in my head I pronounced it "Meal and Deal". Sounds like a cafeteria game show. :o)
