Mishpat and Tsedekhah in Isaiah

These are powerful and frequently used words in Isaiah. I thought it would be good to look at how these two words are developed.

Mishpat is justice, judgement, legal claim

Tsedekhah is blamelessness, justice, righeousness

Typically, I think of them as justice and righteousness, but that is limiting.

In Jewish temples the tsedekhah box is for charitable gifts, taking on a further idea.

Please add any thoughts on these words, and certainly any corrections. The two words are used in Isaiah a great deal.

According to August Pieper's Isaiah II, on page 116, "mishpat" means "to judge". :

I think that שפט is the verb - to judge.

And adding the מ makes it a noun, a participle - judgement.

I am of course always happy to receive correction.
