my 13th bday? Not as good as i thought it would be. But I did get happy birthday messages and got to talk to people at philippines. My grandma sent me my usual bday card but i still have to pick it up though.
I had tons of hw. At my school if you get a world geography hw, math hw, etc at the same day then you have to turn it in at the same day. And I only have the day they gave me the hw and the day after that to do all of it.
Enough about that.......your bday is coming soon. How old are you gonna be?

you are? I thought you were only 12 turning 13.
So any plans for your 14th birthday?
I stayed up late last night finishing my projects and homeworks; then woke up sometime during midnight and it turned out that I fell asleep with my hw all over the place.
I didn't even get to finish them. I'm lucky that most of the class forgot about the homework because the teacher extended the due date to tuesday next week.
But I have an 8 page science homework, finish the science project we started in science class, finish my current events hw, finish my geography project, and finish my algebra hw.
AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
AND I still have scholar bowl and sports AND Math Club. And I'm thinking of joining drama club. Again..........AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I'm so overbooked this year that I've only finished half of the book I'm reading that I started 3 days ago. and it's the first book I've read since school started.
gosh..........
I hate this......I wanna read so badly but don't have much time.........

I love coffee... When I lived in Philippines I used to have coffee with my great-grandmother(the one I told u guys about who's 104) during the afternoon everyday.
I like cappuccino too.......Any kind of coffee is good. Except for the really strong one...EW! no offense if any of you guys like it.
................
I finished my science project, the graphs we started at school, and I'm almost done finishing my algebra hw.
I just need to do:
-redo my current events hw
-finish my world geography hw
-do my science hw
AAAAAAAAHHHH!!! i only have today and 2morrow to finish.
Oh and did I say that I have a poster board to design for a contest at my mom's job.
The night I was supposed to be finishing my geography hw; I forgot that I told my mom I'll be counting candies to put in jars for the "How many is in the jar?" game at her job. I didn't just count candies I also counted 500 something sunflower seeds.
*tears*
I'll talk to you guys ltr..... c ya!

yes....
But one god thing came out of it. I started drawing again; I haven't drawn in months until I had that geography hw. And I got my drawing hand back..
During the summer I was trying to draw one of my fave characters to draw when I was little.......Winnie the Pooh. But I couldn't even draw him anymore; so I'm glad I got my drawing hand back.

oh well maybe in high school u can take like a fashion, clothing, or home ec. class that will teach u to sew and use patterns. Freshman yr i took a clothing class where we learn to sew by hand and with machine. also we used patterns. i made myself a vest and it fits perfectly. the nice thing about making your own clothes is that they fit u! not the skinny fit model.
20SecretariatGirl
I took sewing lessons when I was younger and got way into it and even got a machine for my birthday one year but I realized I couldn't follow a pattern whatsoever without lessons...
So my sewing machine's collecting dust in the basement. :(

yeah i've been away from it for like 3 yrs now that i'm not sure i'd know what to do with a pattern. though i'm still good with the hand stitches, at least most of them.
i do crafts alot w/ my mom and grandma, i recently started a quilt (i know it sounds lame but its going to be really cool) and then i bead, knit, scrapbook, sew, crochet (though i don't like it), and i really like making my own patterned paper with stamps and making bookmarks the same way, i think i'm forgeting things but oh well...

Wow! I mean I can bead, knit, and other art stuff but learning quilting would be cool.
I know how to make my own colored paper..
They call it marbling. Here so you can make your own paper:
Paper Marbling
Paper Marbling
Purpose
To make swirling pattern on paper for unique designs, mimicking marble.
Additional information
Paper marbling is a process of transferring colors to paper or fabric by method of aqueous surface design, resulting in a pattern that is reminiscent of marble. This process can be traced as far back as the 10th century with the decorative paper called liu sha jian meaning “drifting-sand” or “flowing-sand notepaper". The paper was fashioned by dragging it through fermented flour paste, mixed with various colors. The result was a free and radical design unlike any other. Another type of ancient marbling involved paste from honey locust pods. This paste would be mixed with croton oil and thinned with water while ginger would be used to disperse colors. A hair brush would be whisked over the mixture and dandruff flakes added as part of the design. The finished art would resemble that of human figures and nature once they were transferred to a sheet of paper.
Our Sponsors
Required materials
* Different colored oil paints
* Mineral turpentine
* Teaspoon (for measuring)
* Several sheet of white or pale-colored paper
* Large shallow tray, at least as big as your paper
* Small plastic or glass containers for mixing your paint
* Newspaper
* Water
* Rubber gloves (for safety when handling turpentine)
* Several wooden sitr sticks (use spoons if you don't have stir sticks available)
Estimated Experiment Time
About 20 minutes for the procedure, up to an hour for the drying process.
Step-By-Step Procedure
* 1. Fill your tray about one-half way with water.
* 2. In your plastic/glass containers, mix a small amount of paint with some turpentine. Make sure to mix well with your stir sticks or spoon.
* 3. Use the teaspoon to careful pour a small amount of each mixed color from the containers onto the water in the tray. The color mixtures should float on top of the water.
* 4. Now, gently swirl the colors together with your teaspoon until they start to cover a larger area of the tray.
* 5. Gentry lie a sheet of paper on the surface of the water. Be careful not to capture any air bubbles.
* 6. Life the paper off and allow it to drain. Place the paper on top of a newspaper on a flat surface so it can dry.
* 7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 with other sheets of paper. With each pass the color will become more delicate. Soon you'll need to add more colors. Don't forget to swirl the colors as their added.
Note
Turpentine can be harmful. Always wear gloves when handling! If you don't have gloves available, always make sure to wash your hands with soap and water after handling the turpentine. Also be careful not to breathe in the chemical for a long period of time.
Observation
What kind of pattern did your paint make? Try mixing different color paints and adding them to the tray for some very unique and colorful results! You can even theme your marbling. For example, you can try using just reds and green during the holidays, or orange and brown during Thanksgiving. Be creative, try different things, and have fun!
Result
The oil paints mix with the mineral turpentine, which doesn't mix with water. Instead of mixing with the water it floats on top of it (similar to oil from an oil spill). As you swirl the paint gently, the colors make random patterns. You can transfer (or pick up) these patterns as you gently place your paper on the surface of the water and life it off.
All of your patterns on each sheet of paper will be different. You can use the sheets of paper as wrapping paper, wall art, or use them to make interesting and unique cards for family and friends.

Yeah...I ran last year for Secretary or was it Treasurer......but Miss Popular won instead of me.
And the people who are running for an office will have a one minute spot on the School television. Can you say pressure?

Maybe you should join Helen. I'm sure you'll be a great part of Student Council.

My philosophy is not to get too involved in leadership stuff or LEAD it!
I spearheaded a homeschool drama club but my good friend won the election for director and did a HORRIBLE job! It was so stressful because I couldn't really do anything but I felt like I was responsible.
