This has absolutely nothing to do with books, but maybe it's interesting for those who enjoy the world of the Sims.
Last week, for the Sims 3 game, they released a set of items labeled as "steampunk".

Those are pretty ugly and their description is odd. I would not want those if I still played the Sims. You can't just slap a few gears on something and call it steampunk. Or you can, but I don't think many people will take it seriously...

I feel very similarly! I also found it kind of strange that they described it more...American West than they did Victorian England. To be sure, I think there are some Western elements but...I wouldn't use it as the main pairing.
