I just found out recently there'a a book coming out Called Jane Bites Back by Michael Thomas Ford. The plot of the story is that Jane is supposed to be a frustrated Vampire out seeking revenge on the people who have made money off of her work. I guess you could say this book is gonna Suck (pun intended). Sorry about that everyone but I just couldn't resist the temptation to say that.
Anywhoo now it seems that everyone is coming out of the closet making parodies of Jane's works hoping they'll be able to rake in some dough with her legion of Austenites or Janeites whichever you prefer. Maybe these Authors are hoping they might just get lucky that someone will buy the Rights to their book and get a humongous Movie Deal they can't refuse.

Michael Thomas Ford is no stranger to books about vampires.
I would also point out that author parodies have existed from time immemorial. Dare I mention that Jane herself parodied popular writing?

I'm not familiar with the name Michael Thomas Ford so I don't know anything about him or his writings since I've never read any of his books before. Yea, I know that parodies have always been around forever. Hollywood spoofs popular movies all the time like the Star Wars spoof, Space Balls. Personally I don't care for that movie. I've seen it a couple of times but it donesn't do anything for me. Some spoofs or parodies are better than others while some never should've seen the light of day and I put Space Balls in the latter category.
I have a book at home that's a spoof of Harry Potter. One of the Barry Trotter books. I haven't read it yet so I can't say if I liked it or hated it. I'm pretty sure that I own the first one in the U. K. edition. Barry Trotter and the Philosopher's Scone not the U.S. edition Barry Trotter and the Magical Biscuit. Barry Trotter has a question mark and exclamation mark on his forehead, right?

No, I couldn't read his author page on LT because I wasn't aware he even had one on LT since I never read any of his books. What kind of Vampire books does he write? Is he into Horror like Anne Rice, Stephen King, and Clive Barker? Now that you have brought him to my attention I may have to look him up on his LT author page and Google his name to see what books he's written.
Who knows lilithcat you may have just made me a new fan and convert of Michael Thomas Ford and once I start reading his books I may want to go out and try to find everything he's ever written. Do you have any recommendations for me to begin with? Are some better than others or should I just go out and buy them all?
