Anybody Read...

Have any of you read Jake Riley: Irreparably Damaged? If not you soooooooo have to!
It's about a farm girl who's dealing with this perverted neighbor who's constantly trying to get her to do it and then he threatens to kill her but it's a really sweet book. I know I just listed all teh abd parts but it's great! I absolutely loved it!!!! and no one dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody read The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfeld the first book in the Midnighters series? OMG!!! SOOOOOOOOOO good!!!

it's about a girl who moved to a little town in Oklahoma and finds out she's a Midnighter, a person born at exactly midnight who can live in an extra hour in each day at midnight where everybody else freezes. These freaky creature inhibit the dark hour and it's really awesome. Mix of sci-fi/friendship/aventure and romance. Just a little creepy but really good!!!

Yah...I hate creepy covers...I have to read them in my room so my mom doesn't ask questions

me...if I have a book with a creepy cover and is scary I have to read it during the day so I won't get creeped out and paranoid.

i don't really get freaked out by books that are creepy/scary unless i'm home alone at night.... then i get creeped out by everything... then again i don't read horror, if i did then i would probably be sacred..

i like scary stories, not at night tho. that makes me think about it when im going to sleep, and its all messed up like "what if this happened?" i creep myself out that way. alot of times it happens for no reason too. that really freaks me out.

i usually read alot of scary stories. In english right now we're doing a unit on them. We just got done with Edgar Allen Poe

we just read The Raven not to long ago in my English class

We read The Raven (confusing) and "tell tale heart" (talk about crazy people. no idea how you can act so calm about killing someone!?)

I prefer calm serial killers to freaked out ones...they know what's going on and are more proffesional about it.

Have you guys read Bourne Identity??? SO good and it uses and honest to goodness reall assasin as the main bad guy!

yeah I start getting paranoid. I remember this book it was a mystery and there's an "assasin" hunting the main character and a part where a girl goes down to the school basement to get her pom-pom bag and then a swarm of spiders come out the bag and starts eating her alive!(ok that's an exaggeration...but still)

Scary books creep me out alot but I still read them...I used to read them in bed them hide under my covers till I fell asleep...then I'd be paranoid I was gonna suffocate. LOL, I was a really stupid 11 yr. old!

Yeah I used to do that too. I even made something to put on my head along with the small flashlight so that I wouldn't have to hold it!. *laughs*

i read till like 11:30 last night, my mom found me and i got in soooo much trouble! yet i just thought it was funny, i dont take my mom very seriously all the time.....

my mom just shakes her head says "go to sleep!", she's doesn't really get mad cuz punishing me for reading seems a little ridiculous to her, which is good :D

she got up to let Jett out and my door was cracked open and i was busted, but i finished my book! yes Helen, its Along for the Ride.

I have like this night light thingy and i never get caught reading but lately i have been so tiried i haven't been reading after hours lately.

Over the summer BEFORE I made the "headdress light" my stepdad was passing by my room to get to the laundry room and he saw my lamp on. But by the time I heard him coming and turned off the lamp he said, "I saw your light on so don't even try. It's 4 am go to sleep!" What I did was waited til he was gone then stayed up til morning(6 I think) finishing the book!!

But when I left my room I was so busted! He totally snitched on me!

And after the whole lecture thing I was thinking what you said Renee that why would she get angry @ me 4 reading I mean it wasn't like they caught me with a guy in my room.

Same here Helen. I have been so tired that I haven't been staying after hours reading lately. And if I do stay late it's to finish homework.

yeah my parents are pretty cool about it now and in general i don't get in trouble even for like coming home late and stuff... then again i don't do "bad" stuff. like if my mom sent me to my room because i was in trouble i wouldn't mind, all my books are in there lol

oh i'm on semesters with six week grading periods during it. So technically this is the 18 week grading period. The semester grade is what goes on the transcript. And i'm trying to get a full ride to Cal State Fullerton so i want to get the best grades possible obviously.

oh btw i'm switching to Advanced Theatre... and Government is over so i'll have Economics next.

aww those were the days, pre algebra. Though my statistics class isn't too bad. Trig and Algebra 2 were awful

uhh they didn't have pre algerbra when i was suppose to take it. We had to go through the 7th and 8th grade book (which we didn't)

no just regular math 7 and then in 8th grade they either take math 8 or pre-algebra

you can do that in 6th and 7th grade too, there are two 6th graders in my Pre Algebra
