My book club is reading The Amazing Maurice and his educated rodents this month. I am in charge of discussion questions. I figure I can have the normal 'What was your favorite character/ which one are you most like?' and 'Did you like the book?' Besides that I am kind of lost. Perhaps some things about Maurice's character and the rats development?

Adult or children's book reading group? I'd presume the latter, but I've read a rather odd selection of stuff in an adult's group read.

How about asking them what other fairy tales and fables they'd like to read a new version of. You could do some hunting and bring a list with you.

I wonder how this went for you? I read the book for the first time in 2015. I loved it. Because I read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh in 2014, I saw a few similarities of theme.

I recall it going all right, though I can't remember much of what we actually did or discussed. I think we served cheese?
That book club started dying out when the time when the cluster of daughters a year above me entered high school and scheduling became an issue. By the time I entered high school it was effectively dead. Almost all of us are in college now, except for the above mentioned youngest member, who's now taller than me.
