Whole Foods has a hit or miss wine selection, and their prices... well its nickname is whole paycheck. In any event, in the last week I have tried two San Simeon wines: one a paso robles petite syrah, and the other a monterrey syrah. The petite was $20 amd the syrah $14. Both were excellent for the price. The petite was especially good, drinking like a $40 cabernet - peppery, fruity, and with a long earthy aftertaste.
