okay for my collge reddiness calss i had to write a paragraph on the short story the neclace. Can you let me know what you think

During the 21st century the desire for wealth as a form of happiness as shown in “The Necklace” still exists in some people but not everyone. In the story, Mme. Loisel goes to the party where she is excited about her necklace and dress because she is seen as an object. Today, many celebrities may advertise this by being a figure and not a person. In the story M. Loisel gives up the money he has saved for a rifle so his wife can get a dress. When he does this he is not advertising materialism but contentment for quality not quantity. Many people advertise this trait also. For example, many people donate to charities so others can have things. Our school recently showed this trait by having a food drive. Overall, people now still show materialism as showed in “The Necklace” but some may show contentment in their lives without materials.
