I am 62, and a retired Civil Servant - living in Carlisle in the North of England.
I used to read a lot - two or three books a year, while a commuting to my job in London, but recently I have been spending more time doing other things.
So I thought I would try this... I was going to start with 50, but that's only one a week! I must be able to do better than that.
Some of them will be audio books, and lots will be books I've read before, that deserve re-reading, or that have just been sitting on my shelves for 30 years, so I've forgotten them. Then there are the books I had for Christmas, and others in a pile on the table, and books my husband recommends....
My first step however was to abandon Sharpe's Escape since I'd been stuck half way through it for weeks. And to go back to Venetia - a re-read, but one I will enjoy.

Booksies!
But you have to finish writing the Pilgrimbook, too! Because I want to read it and put it on my thread! (which is this one http://www.librarything.com/topic/80555&newpost=1#lastmsg)
