1. Bill's Books
My husband recommends all these great books and I'm very bad about actually reading them. Proof? This entire list is left over from my 2009 challenge!
TBR: White Apples by Jonathan Carroll.
TBR: Fortress of Solitude by Jonathan Lethem.
TBR: The Meadow by James Galvin.
TBR: Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson.
TBR: Making Certain it Goes On by Richard Hugo.
TBR: Zot! by Scott McCloud

I like to know what books are getting recognized. I read some great titles I wouldn't have picked up otherwise this way.

9. Next In Series
My no-brainer category! I have many series that are total comfort reads.

10. Genre Fiction
I can always use new genre authors to recommend. I especially need to read more science fiction.

Hi Melissa. For SF, have you tried Maureen F. McHugh? I just read my first of hers, Mission Child and enjoyed it. Also try The Disposessed by Ursula K. Le Guin and anything by Sheri S. Tepper. Enjoy the New Reading Year!

Hello Melissa,
It's on my TBR, so haven't read it yet, but I have it because someone I know recommended it, and it's probably the first book I ever ejected from the Science Fiction shelves at my local bookstore (Borders...I think B&N puts it in Gen Fiction).
It can also fit in your "Series" category.
The first book is called Event by David Lynn Golemon.
He's got 3 others out, and I think he's working on the 5th of the Event Series (Ironically, the name of the series is the same as the name of the first book).
