Please can someone change it to something less esoteric?
I don't live in London, but I am most certainly interested in the city.

I should think that the group heading is inclusive for what we need i.e. 'It's a London Thing' or what particular angle would you like discussed?

No particular angle really.

I have not come across: Streets of East London by W. Fishman. Is there anything about Canning Town?

#3: no, it's the old East End i.e Spitalfields, Whitechapel and Mile End.

There are references to Canning Town in Stephen Inwood's A History of London and in Jerry White's recently publsihed London in the Nineteenth Century but they are only scattered references.
