I am hoping to hit over 75 books for the third year in a row. I accomplished reading 86 in 2008 and 88 in 2009. Now, I just have to decide on my first book of the year.

#5: Did you like Farm City?
7efoltz
I enjoyed Farm City and identified with lots of the vegetable gardening issues. Also, the neighborhood interesting where Novella was trying to garden. It is similar to Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and The $64 tomato.

I enjoyed Animal, Vegetable, Miracle very much, so I will see if I can find a copy of Farm City. Thanks for the info, Jasper.

What did you think of South of Broad?
I love Conroy generally, and own the book but haven't picked it up for some reason.

32. Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella
I am needing some easy, fast reads in order to finish before I loose interest.

You might try Kinsella's Shopaholic series. They are definitely easy, fast reads. They are funny, too!

Thanks for the rec. I have read several in the past and they are funny.

#45: What did you think of that one?
47efoltz
#46: I kept wondering if I should give up until I got to the last few chapters. A lot of the book was a young women wandering around France with little direction in her life.
48alcottacre
Hmm, I will give it some further thought. I had it in the BlackHole at one time, took it out, and am now debating whether or not to put it back in again. Decisions, decisions . . .

#54: How is What Was Lost? It looks pretty good.
56efoltz
I enjoyed What was Lost but it is not going to be a book a recommend to a lot of people. I worried that something really bad had happened the whole book and so it was depressing.

#59: I read The Three Weissmans earlier this year, and really liked it. I'm meaning to try to read more books by the author, but so far, I just managed to check one book out of the library, keep it for nine weeks (two renewals), and then bring it back (!) I hope to do better next time.
