I definitely will not be able to read 75 books during the year.
But came to my knowledge that 75 Books Challenge is one of the best groups to get started in LT, so I thought I could share my reading with you guys.
I am from Brazil, but read mostly books in English.

Today I will finish The Halfling's Gem and tomorrow I will begin my 2010 journey, going back to the Dragon Lance Universe to read the first of the Lost Chronicles.

So here is my 2010 reading:
1 - Dragons of the Dwarven Depths

Cheers and good reading to you all!

Oh I absolutely adore RA Salvatore and the Forgotten Realms series. I have quite a few DragonLance and Ravenloft books as well. I've recently started rereading the DragonLance books starting way back at the Dragons of Autumn Twilight.

As I predicted in my first post, I will not reach the 75 books mark, but the creation of this list as such an incentive to my reading that I have already read more books this year than I read in whole 2009!

My updated list:

1 - The Halfling's Gem
2 - Dragons of the Dwarven Depths
3 - The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime
4 - The Soulforge
5 - Brothers in Arms
6 - Die Trying
7 - Homeland
8 - Exile
9 - Sojourn
10 - Flesh and Bone
11 - 1984

I am currently reading Dragons of the Highlord Skies and hoping to finish this week.
After that, I will begin reading the bulkiest book since I started reading in the English language: A Game of Thrones. This will probably take me at least a month to finish, and I am looking forward to beginning!

Jack Reacher! I'm currently reading Echo Burning, the fourth or fifth (I forget which) in the series. It's excellent so far.

If you're into the Reacher books, you might like the Repairman Jack series by F. Paul Wilson. Start with Legacies.

Here is my updated 2010 list:

1 - The Halfling's Gem
2 - Dragons of the Dwarven Depths
3 - The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime
4 - The Soulforge
5 - Brothers in Arms
6 - Die Trying
7 - Homeland
8 - Exile
9 - Sojourn
10 - Flesh and Bone
11 - 1984
12 - Dragons of the Highlord Skies

I am currently reading the last of the Lost Chronicles (Dragons of the Hourglass Mage).
I said I would begin A Game of Thrones because I thought the Hourglass Mage would take longer to be delivered. As I live in Brazil, the bookstore website estimated 6 weeks to deliver the book. But I guess they found a copy in some shadowy corner on their warehouse, for I received the book 2 days after buying it!
So.... I cannot resist the urge to finish the Lost Chronicles, and Martin will have to wait. ;)

Kind regards to all!

Well, as Martin has not finished his series yet, I do not think it is a problem for waiting!

Drneutron, your Repairman Jack suggestion is noted, but I guess I won't try it anytime soon. My "to read" pile is currently HUGE, including a few Jack Reacher.

You're probably right, alcottacre... I read that Martin is not in a hurry to finish the series. I have even read comments of people worried about him dying before finishing the series.

BTW, yesterday I finished Dragons of the Hourglass Mage, and started A Game of Thrones. Just a fez pages before sleep, but I am liking it a lot so far! Updated 2010 list:

1 - The Halfling's Gem
2 - Dragons of the Dwarven Depths
3 - The curious incident of the dog in the night-time
4 - The Soulforge
5 - Brothers in Arms
6 - Die Trying
7 - Homeland
8 - Exile
9 - Sojourn
10 - Flesh and Bone
11 - 1984
12 - Dragons of the Highlord Skies
13 - Dragons of the Hourglass Mage

Currently reading: A Game of Thrones

Kind regards!

Martin may not be in any hurry to finish the series, but his readers sure are! It sounds like he is taking them forgranted.

Yes... It is pity.
I myself am not overly troubled with that, as I have almost 4 thousand pages to go! =)
But I can imagine how older fans feel about this delay... Let us hope it doesn't take too long!
Are there any news or estimated release date for the next volume?

I really do not know if there is an estimated release date for the next one. Sorry.

I've been waiting so long that I've given up.

When he finishes the entire story, I'll buy all the books I don't have, start from the beginning and have a wonderful marathon of the series. :-)

I am with Tad. When he finishes the series, I will read them. Until then, I am not touching them.
