Kirsten Dunst, who I like more because of the book, but I wish she would quit smoking:

And this woman, whoever she is:

I'm loving this one because it goes against his image in the press...

I'm not sure how a photo taken of the man while he was in jail goes against his image in the press. ;)

And he's reading American Gangster. I mean if it were Sense and Sensibility that would be shocking :).

This was taken just a few months ago at some WH function. Apparently he was reading Lessons in Disaster: McGeorge Bundy and the Path to War in Vietnam.

In the Bush picture - #9 - What I'm wondering about regarding that picture is:

What is that thing by his left shoulder?

#14 - Looks like someone's hand and it's moving, hence the blur.

I've always wondered if someone gave him the book with just the jacket placed upside-down.....

Buff Cobb (a very minor celeb, but I love the picture):

This isn't anyone famous at all, but the picture was so charming that I had to post it. I can certainly imagine some in the Dragon wishing they could be in a house by the sea, open air to the beach, with a good book. :)

#19 She was no dummy, by any means. Quite the contrary, she was quite smart. She was emotionally unbalanced near the end, yes, but stupid - never. And it isn't a posed picture. The photographer was setting up for the day, and just captured it.

I understand she had an interest in literary individuals.Hence, her interest in Arthur Miller.

I can't see the Marilyn picture. :( It says bandwidth exceeded, etc.

They are reading a script, so I don't know if it counts, but I love the photo.

C'mon. I expect better of you guys and gals. The GWB picture is a photoshop.

edit: as a twist on the subject I wanted to find a picture of someone reading music.

#26: I plead ignorance but not innocence :), I just searched for George Bush reading and that one popped-up. I actually didn't even notice the book was upside down until I loaded it here. But I did think it was funny after I saw it :P.

To be correct then:

I also note that the book GWB is reading was written by Lynne Cheney, wife of the vice-president.

Hey Pre-Pen!
I appreciate you setting the record straight on that picture. As much as "W" was a complete idiot, there was no need to falsely make him look stupid. There is so MUCH in the way of ~actual~ incompetence, nobody has to make up stuff. I will defend Bush in this particular case.

I appreciate the responses regarding GWB picture, and agree he did more than enough to look foolish without the help of photoshop.

One thing that I truly appreciate about the GD/LT is the level of intelligence and quality of character displayed in the forum. Thanks for not taking it in a negative way (to be honest I would have posted the same had it been Clinton).

With the senatorial election in MA tomorrow the political turmoil/smear campaigns are in full swing and really make my nerves raw.

Just call me sensative.

EDIT: Back on topic: Soooo how about that picture of Joe Johnson reading music. I love the B&W imagary coupled with the lighting. He was the drummer for Miles Davis for a number of years.
