Categories...

Still figuring this out. Sounds fun!

Okay, so far. Romance, Fantasy & SciFi can't be counted or shelved in YA. Nonfiction refers to non narrative nonfiction. Memoirs are counted separately.
It's hard coming up with categories!

I'm going to aim to hit 10 per category, though think I'll continue to count, as I'm sure YA and Urban Fantasy will exceed 10 each.

Welcome! I'll be checking back to see what you're reading in your fantasy and science fiction categories!

Thanks, Victoria! I've got some Warhammer 40k books my husband's been nagging me about reading, but Hitchhiker's Guide looks pretty appealing...

Plenty of things to keep an eye on in this thread. Most especially looking forward to see what your selections are in the Mystery, Science Fiction and Fantasy categories. Have you any ideas on what you'll be reading yet or is it just a case of seeing what happens?

#14: It's mostly a case of seeing what happens. I just finished Journal by Kristine & Joyce Atkinson, which is a very hands on murder mystery. I've forgotten how much I like this genre. I've also got Relic by...Preston Child, I think it is, to get through.

For Fantasy, I have some books that I bought from the middle of the series, and I hope to buy the first book or two so I can finally get to them. Such as the Poison/Magic study series.

Got my kindle today! It's a library loan, but it's access to 14 books I don't own! (Actually close to 100 books I don't own, but about 10 of them are kindle user guides, multiple study guides....hiking guides....other books uninteresting to me...)

I aim to read 14, but there are 20 titles that interest me. 7 of which are Sookie Stackhouse novels.

6 months ago, I never guessed I would take it upon myself to read the entire Raymond Feist series. 11 books for high fantasy done, 2 more in mid-read. It's going to take me a bit longer to process where the rest of my books are sorted...

I had a category dedicated to Feist last year. I've read pretty much everything he's done with the exception of a couple of the latest books. I do wish he'd move on to other things than another Midkemia trilogy though as they're becoming a bit of a chore now. He's shown he can cope outside the familiar with Faerie Tale which I rate as his 2nd best behind Magician.

The list is outdated, and I apologize. I'm finding mysteries and memoirs to read, though!

I need to find the next Temperance Brennan novel, Death du Jour. My husband told me I need to stop ordering books until all previous orders have arrived.

I'm a little giddy to check the mail each day for bookmooch or paperbackswap shipments!

Seems I'm not reading as many public domain and nonfiction books as I intended to. Maybe that was an error on my part, listing nonfiction and memoir as two separate categories.
