Found a good resource today. It lists every double and some author information about the Ace SF doubles and classic Ace books.
It also includes cover artist information as well as the covers themselves.
The main URL is:
http://people.uncw.edu/smithms/
You can't navigate to the pages, though, so here are the lines after:
D-series.html
F-series.html
G-series.html
H-series.html
M-series.html
for the 5-numeral series beginning in 1969:
N-series.html
and singles series:
ace singles.html
(on this page he lists the Harold R. Peters reference book from 1996)
Happy hunting.

Found the main page where you can navigate to the other pages - YAY!
http://people.uncw.edu/smithms/ACE.html
Seems so simple now. Don't know why I had trouble finding this while rummaging around.
