Vinegar Hill was just a short simple read, about what you can expect from the Oprah books. But in spite of having a limited plot line, I enjoyed it. It is a 50's Catholic woman, unhappy in her marriage (with darn good reasons) struggling with trying to make things work and with the decision to divorce. It does include some of what the children are going through with the unhappy situation, and even a viewpoint from the husband and his unhappiness. Not a bad story but I wouldn't really go out looking for more by the author. Just too simplistic for my taste.
