What a wonderful book. I enjoyed every word and felt very close to the characters. I am looking forward to reading more about "Maggie and Joe". You truly seemed to be able to capture the inner thoughts of the characters and you bring home the "we have so much to be grateful for" feeling. Thank you for writing Moon Dance... It added a little piece of comfort to my life.

Thank you! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed Moon Dance! I look forward to writing more of Maggie and Joe's story in a sequel I hope to finish this later this year.

This is definitely a book you can't put down. I'm looking forward to the sequel!! Any "previews" of what is next to come?

Thanks for writing this book! It really touched me and I loved reading it. The characters are so real -- their love story, troubles, and finding strength in their faith really impressed me.

Hi there. Thanks for joining me on author chat. I'm new at this, so in the process of editing my previous posts, I deleted them. So if this is slightly different from your first visit, I hope it still intrigues you enough to go to my website, a library, or to a bookstore and pick up a copy of moon dance.
In any novel, a bit of the author shines through, as is so in moon dance. I was fortunate to grow up in a time before technology ruled the universe... although I don't know what I'd do without it now! Yet, in the small town of Marshall, TX where I grew up, imagination played a major role in my life. I really can’t remember a time when I didn’t write down my thoughts, short stories, or poems. My mom was a songwriter, my dad told stories all the time, and many of my ancestors traveled from across the waters in Wales to somehow, eventually end up in Texas. I’ve heard tell that Wales is a lot like where I grew up, and I’ve read that one of the national pastimes there is storytelling and writing. I’ve always felt an affinity to the folks there and often felt that my yearning to write is deeply rooted in my ancestral past.
My recently released novel, moon dance takes the reader back to a time that was even less rushed than my childhood. It is a story of falling in love for the first time, of growing from childhood to womanhood, and of overcoming the dark side of life through faith and forgiveness. It is a story that many people will be able to relate to, and hopefully many people will want to read again and again. My main characters are "fictionally" based on the early lives of my aunt and uncle who grew up during the Great Depression. I often felt as I was writing moon dance that I was being guided by my aunt’s spirit, as if she was looking down at me from Heaven and inspiring me with her thoughts and love. More often than not, I just sat down and let my fingers fly across the computer keys, and then I would read over what I had written and think, “Did I write that?” I loved writing my novel, Moon Dance, and I really hope that you will love reading it.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support! My goal as a writer is to make my characters so real, that they actually become a part of your life. So much so that you can't wait to get back to the story!
The sequel to moon dance continues to follow the lives of Maggie and Joe and their families. It is set seven years later at the beginning of WWII. This novel is just beginning to take shape, and I have no idea where it will lead me. Chapters and events always sneak up on me, and then it's as if I'm consumed in a fog and I can't wait to get the words down on paper. I'm looking forward to finding out where this book will lead me!
