Okay, here goes, time to start over with the dear boys. Starting with a classic:

And Clive Owen:

Even though he is totally not English and almost certainly skates for the other team, I'm personally obsessed with the lovely Johnny Weir. He's fab.

Mar 19, 2010, 5:23 pm

Ok, an actual HEG, borrowed from the last thread, the ever-so-sexy Idris Elba:

*Drags the fainting couch into the thread as a precaution. Suge will see these eventually...*

Here's one I hadn't seen before . . .

good thinking, JP! I feel a swoon coming on!

My HEG du jour

10suge
Mar 21, 2010, 11:11 pm

Oh, I forgot!

*SWOON!!!*

Oh, to have a time machine! I would only use it for HEGing purposes, I swear! I give you Robert Plant circa 1970something!

Mar 21, 2010, 11:50 pm

Ohhhhh . . . heartbreaker!

Another hot rock star from back in the day.

This one is for Suge:

Jimmy Page Pictures

15littlegeek
Mar 22, 2010, 2:16 am

suge, did I ever tell you I once sat in Jimmy's box at the Royal Albert Hall? So basically, my butt was where his butt was before.

Now he looks like a Munchkin:

16ejj1955
Mar 22, 2010, 2:25 am

I know . . . I much prefer to ignore the ravages of age on Robert, Jimmy, and myself. Really, we were all better in the 70s.

17pollysmith
Mar 22, 2010, 5:38 am

True ejj, very true! (sigh)

18suge
Mar 22, 2010, 8:01 am

#14---> OOOH, Jimmy! Thanks Ejj!

#16---> Ohhhh, Jimmy! See you didn't think about this when you were shooting up, did you?

LOL guys! I guess rocking our leaves its marks, think of all the amazing things they've been around for... macrame, 8 tracks, patchwork bellbotoms... Those were the times, guys! Those were the times!

Here's another golden yummy from the golden oldie time:
Dave Gilmour

and what he looks like now:

19littlegeek
Mar 22, 2010, 1:44 pm

I'd still do Dave Gilmour.

20suge
Mar 22, 2010, 3:07 pm

Whaaaaat! I was saying the same thing Lg!! Hehahahahahahe heeee! Pervy minds think alike I guess.

I watched a talk show on BBC America and was surprised to find that Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton in the True Blood series) was British.

22littlegeek
Mar 22, 2010, 3:31 pm

#20 It's the twinkle in his eye. There's still a fire in that furnace.

23suge
Mar 22, 2010, 3:46 pm

mais oui!

24ejj1955
Mar 23, 2010, 1:24 am

Late as ever to the party . . . but yeah, Dave Gilmour actually looks more appealing to me now than in the "then" picture. I'm not all that keen on facial hair, as it happens. (Or chest or euwww back hair, for that matter.)

25ejj1955
Mar 23, 2010, 3:53 am

Could not toddle off to bed without leaving a little something here. Kinda missing my Guy of Gisborne fix these days.

I know what you mean about the excess body hair, ejj, but there issss something to be said about a slightly scruffy, disheveled, stubbly chin... oooh! admit it, ejj, If Gabriel Aubry said to you, "come here, you sexy thang..." would you run off and say, "Not unless you shaved that off!" NOPE! (mind you, I would if anyone ELSE said such a slimy thing to me)

AND WHY IN THE WORLD ARE THERE NO HENRY CAVILL PICS HERE??

My god. After all these years, he still takes my breath away.

Why can't every guy dress like this?

#15--> Oh, wowza, lg! I missed what you said. You sat on Jimmy Page??? COOL!!!

You know what? I feel a shirtless Doctor Who whasit coming on!

Chris Evans

We'll have to imagine John Barrowman shirtless :(

No, wait! I found one! I am nothing if not tenacious when it comes to HEG hunting!

Hells Bells! David Tenant is a the prudish fly in my nude guy ointment. Grrrr!

I knew it was too much to ask to find a pic of him shirtless but wearing his glasses... *far away look*

Who else? We need Bib in here!

28ejj1955
Mar 23, 2010, 12:55 pm

Suge, you are, of course, right. Completely.

Program note: John Barrowman has turned up on Wisteria Lane! Yes, he was in the last episode of Desperate Housewives, playing a baddie.

29LadyN
Mar 23, 2010, 1:33 pm

JB isn't technically a HEG...but never mind! We'll let him in. Even though he's unlikely to ever look in our direction....

30biblioholic29
Mar 23, 2010, 2:03 pm

He's Scottish, close enough.

If you're specifically looking for Doctor Who people, who about Tom Ellis, who played Dr. Thomas Milligan, the man Martha left the Doctor for:

No time to hunt for more I'm afraid, break time's over!

31LadyN
Mar 23, 2010, 2:06 pm

bib, don't ever say that to a scot! ;-)

Tom Ellis is rather nice... he's married to my friend's cousin.

Mar 23, 2010, 10:24 pm

I did not know Ed Westwick was English until I looked him up--he plays an American on "Gossip Girl"--not so much his looks, really, as his voice, which is one of those shivers-up-the-backbone voices . . .

33littlegeek
Mar 24, 2010, 12:43 am

The gorgeous Dominic West:

34LadyN
Mar 24, 2010, 8:36 am

Oh I doso LOVE Dominic West. Hmmmmm..... *sigh*

35suge
Mar 24, 2010, 9:54 am

I just KNEW you would come to the rescue, Bib, you lovely, lovely Doctor Whoologist!

#29--> I KNOW! You should have seen all the passionate pics of him kissing another guy that turned up on google. Wow.

32--> MMMM I was so shocked when I found out he was English. I always am. Maybe its because I can't do an English accent to save my life or limb, so it always shocks that others can do American so flawlessly. For the love of god, Stephen Moyer can do a Lousianna accent!

OHHHHHH. I am soooo in love with Maximilian Palacios. He co-hosts this really cheesy, but often hilarious dating show on Telemundo. He is from Argentina and MY MY MY WOULDN'T I LIKE TO GET HIM IN MY PANTS!!!

I LOVE HIM!! I LOVE HIM!!! I LOOOOOOOVE HIM!!!!

What do we think about Noah Huntley?

He played the old Peter Pevinsie when they are chasing the stag and come out of the Wardrobe at the end of The Lion The Witch &The Wardrobe.

He looks like a total douche here, but in the film he looks way better.

In the world of Doctor Who HEGs, I can't BELIEVE I forgot the Master!

And the trifecta:

37littlegeek
Mar 24, 2010, 11:12 am

#35 Funny, in the first scene of The Wire I said "that guy is English" and googled him to confirm. Maybe because I lived with a HEG for 5 years, but then again I didn't spot Elba's accent. It became a drinking game: McNulty's accent slips, drink! I even think there's a youtube vid with all his worst accent flubs.

He was still great in the part, tho. I loved the scene where he pretended to be English while under cover. That had to be hard to do!

38suge
Mar 24, 2010, 11:07 pm

Oh, drool, bib! (not you, me. those hegs have me droolin')

Here's a HEG to make your dreams sweeter!

Oh, Hugh Dancy, here is another shopaholic you can reform!!

LG, that sounds hilarious!

Well, while you have me here, we might as well have another great American accent pretender

Hugh Laurie. What is it about nerdy glasses that makes me dizzy with longing?

39littlegeek
Mar 24, 2010, 11:24 pm

OK, Hugh's American is flawless. Plus, he's hotter than snot.

Speaking of HEGs who played American....

40ejj1955
Mar 24, 2010, 11:25 pm

Whoa.

41littlegeek
Mar 24, 2010, 11:25 pm

suge you've never seen The Wire? Best tv show ever.

42suge
Mar 25, 2010, 8:32 am

Lee Adama.... I wish his reflexes had been slower...

I've never seen the wire, LG! But I've heard magnificent things about it. I don't know why, but I don't have it in me to follow shows, no matter how good, after like two weeks, I'll forget about it... sigh. I think that is called ADD. It's best for me to buy the DVD's and watch them in one go. I can't really put up with waiting all week wondering what will happen in next week's eppie.

While we're on the subject, here's another English guy doing an American accent: Jim Sturgess in a HAT!!

And...

James McAvoy

43suge
Mar 25, 2010, 8:42 am

Who is actually Scottish, I forgot to say! Sexy burrrrrrrr better and better, I say!

Here he doesn't look so much like a funeral parlor director

44kirbyowns
Mar 25, 2010, 10:25 pm

Sigh...I watched Wanted because of him. Was a little disappointed in the movie as a whole, but yum...

45LadyN
Mar 26, 2010, 4:24 am

Ooh, yes, James Mc is definitely a hottie!! And a lovely boy too.

46biblioholic29
Mar 26, 2010, 8:53 am

Oh James McAvoy, I fell in love with him as Tumnus and I just haven't loved him quite as much in anything since. He's still pretty though.
