Stephen will be releasing a brand new novella entitled Blockade Billy through Cemetery Dance Publications on April 20th 2010. His website says this:
William "Blockade Billy" Blakely may have been the greatest baseball player the game has ever seen, but today no one remembers his name. He was the first--and only--player to have his existence completely removed from the record books. Every effort was made to erase any evidence William Blakely played professional baseball, and with good reason. Blockade Billy had a secret darker than any pill or injection that might cause a scandal in sports today. His secret was much, much worse.

Sounds really intriguing - :O

Yes, it does... I just hope it turns out to be better than The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.

A limited number of first-edition copies will be published of Blockade Billy, which can now be pre-ordered directly through the publisher's website.
I usually don't go for limited stuff, but i must say im quite tempted with this. It is set to be published middle April in hardcover edition featuring cover artwork by Glen Orbik and interior artwork by Alex McVey. $14 US for shipping outside US via Priority Mail.

I'll probably not do the limited edition thing, because most baseball stories just leave me cold. Instead, I'll wait. Just like Riding the Bullet, which was eventually included in Everything's Eventual Blockade Billy will probably eventually appear in one collection or another.
