New books on Commodity History

Here's a review of Sugar: A Bittersweet History by Elizabeth Abbott from the WSJ. Some of its history was not so sweet. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704896104575140631370218958.html?m...

It looks great from the review and it reminded me of Seeds of Change by Henry Hobhouse. He looks at sugar, tea, cotton, potatoes, quinine, and coca and how they changed the world.
