Just finished The Infinities and have some questions/would love some opinions:
Are we in a parallel universe? a future? - Why is the car running on saltwater fuel for example?
How do we know that Benny Grace is Pan? I kept waiting for enough of a clue to understand which god he was. But only after finishing the book and reading the inside flap of the dustcover did I find the answer.
And so if Benny Grace is Pan, who is the mystery woman who kept Adam in cash over the years when he stopped working?
(Speaking of the dustcover, it refers to Ursula as Adam's and Petra's step-mother; but she's not. She's their mother.)
And how did everyone feel about the shifting voice of the narrator - especially toward the end when it seems that Adam (pere) and Zeus are one and the same? At one point I found myself reading backwards more than forward to try to keep up and understand who I was listening to.
Wanted to love this book, but ultimately, I found it sadly unsatisfying.
