What to do with old unwanted books?

Does anyone know if there are any paperback exchanges left? Or at least a good used book store that I could trade in all my old books?
What does everyone else do with their old unwanted books?

There is a place on State Street in Midvale about 7800 S. and another on 700 E about 9300 S. in Sandy. I believe both take exchanges. There are a lot of Used book stores in the Salt Lake valley and in other places in Utah. Look in the phone book. You can also donate them to your library or any good will type store.

You could also consider paperbackswap.com and bookmooch.com, both nice places to "recycle" your old books. Paperback Swap wants them to be nicer condition, but Bookmooch will take almost anything.

Depending on where you are, there is an exchange in Tooele called Starry Night Books and Central Book Exchange in the Sugarhouse section of Salt Lake. If you let me know where you are, I can provide more suggestions. And the SLC phonebook is a great resource - its how I discovered the two I mentioned.

I live in Taylorsville, I was wondering if there are any stores around my area?
If not, I think I will try the Midvale or Sandy stores. I will also check out the websites.
Thanks for the ideas!

Zumwalte - I am fairly new to the area as well, so I am a little shaky on exactly where Taylorsville is, but let me recommend your local Deseret Industries for used books. Some days there is nothing but trash, but I have found many treasures there as well - you just have to look semi-regularly. I like the DI at 4500 and State Street in SLC for books - really amazing selection. Oh, and by trasures, I mean everything from fairly recent bestsellers to first editions and other antiques.
