Brazilian Picture books for kids

Hello all,
I'm looking for picture book from/about Brazil. I'm after (1) Books translated in English that are easily available but that are written or illustrated by Brazilian authors/illustrators (2) books that are somehow culturally specific (and may or may not be available in English) (and these two criteria may not be mutually exclusive of course). Basically I want to learn more about Brazilian picture books and am after recommendations for brilliant books that I might enjoy with my own kids.

Thanks in anticipation,
Zoe

Flicts by Ziraldo could be a nice reading. It's a pretty interesting history, very graphic-oriented, about an undefined color named Flicts (actually a a light brown). By the same author, O menino maluquinho ("The crazy little boy" in my free translation) is an all-time bestseller for children, but I don't know if you can find an English translation.

Or maybe you can search for some book with Brazilian folktales or indigenous tales. Some of them are very interesting, even better if nicely illustrated.
