Mansfield Park

Just to let you all know - I saw a trailor on ITV recently for a new adaptation.

ITV have made three new adaptations - Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. They start on 11 March with MP.

MP & NA got reviewed on Newsnight Review - MP got a thumbs down, NA a thumbs up.

I saw Northanger Abbey (I was also listening to an audio book version of it at the time, which was excellent!) and also watched Persuasion (which I also enjoyedand now definitely intend to read). I missed the Mansfield park one though (I was kicking myself for forgetting!). I'm hoping to get hold of a copy to watch though.

I've just started listening to the Librivox audio book of Mansfield Park - so far, so good!

There's actually a decent movie adaptation of Mansfield Park that was done several years ago:

I'm a fan of the book, and still think this movie was done far better than the recent version of Pride and Prejudice that was out.
