Can someone explain in simple terms how to set this up? I keep reading about it and google something that do the same thing - but I'm clueless about it!
Can someone help?

Go to your wishlist. See that orange button next to your username? Click on it and it shows in short what is moochable. You can select which you want to see the RSS on (you can check there, or you can use the drop down list and select Google, for example, whcih is what I use), it is for Google Reader. Google Reader is just a website. It shows New Items that come up on your wishlist when you are signed into google. If you use Google gmail and are signed in, it should show you your RSS feed for BookMooch that you selected, for Google Reader. I don't know about the other RSS feed thingies. But it's a lot quicker than opening the whole wishlist! Remember you don't have to sign up for anything just to check the RSS feed -- you can always just click on that orange icon on your wishlist page on BookMooch. The new items should show on the top. All you have to do to view the page is click on the item.

If you have Firefox as a browser, you can subscribe using Live Bookmarks and say to put it in your bookmarks toolbar. That way you can just click on it from your browser without signing in anywhere.
I'd suggest only subscribing once you've clicked on the "show related editions" button on your wishlist, so you can create a feed that will, well, show the related editions as well.

Ooh, good idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that. I love the RSS feed, but one of my frustrations has been that it only shows the actual books on my wishlist and not the related editions.

Mine - Firefox & Live bookmarks - doesn't work any more; hasn't for a month. :(
Is it working for everyone else as usual?

And... because I posted the above, my wish-list is now working; but not related editions (I have two feeds so I can differentiate). Hah! I don't mind things like this making me a liar! :)
If related would only work now... (hint, hint)

ah, yes maybe I can ask this here!
When I click feed button I receive 4 books which are all unavailable. 3 do not ship here and 1 I am not sure, maybe reserved. Question is can I delete these four from my feed?

#10: No, you will get renotified about them... just check them as you can... the ones offering them might just change.
If it gets really irritating, I move them to my saved for later & check that daily (or more) by using and the word 'mooch' ...... tedious, but somewhat effective.

I've been having trouble with my RSS feed for my wishlist for the last few days. I've been getting a feed code error with the following details:
An invalid character was found in text content.
Line: 120 Character: 68
<tr><td>Giver:</td><td>durrah (Malaysia), l
Anyone else having this problem? Advice?

There is a book on your wishlist, "A Kingdom Of Dreams" by Judith McNaught (http://bookmooch.com/m/detail/0671737619) that is currently moochable from two users -- 'durrah' in Malaysia and 'lea' in France (with an accent over the E).
The RSS reader that you are using likely doesn't support the character set that is used to represent the accented character (that is, your RSS reader doesn't like accented characters).
Any wishlist hit from Lea's books (or from any other user with an accent in their username) will likely foul your RSS reader.
What to do?
1. You could switch to an RSS reader that supports accented characters. For example, I was able to put your Wishlist in Google's RSS Reader and it worked fine.
2. You could remove Lea's book from your wishlist (or mooch it). This will likely fix the problem (at least until you get a new hit on Lea's or another accented-user's book).

I use iGoogle as my homepage, and there's an RSS gadget on there that shows me my feed very nicely. I used the Google feed. It just means you don't have to go to a separate webpage to see the feed - I go to my homepage constantly, because it's also my main search page. Of course, the only things on it have either been reserved for others or from a 'will not send' - and the latter not wonderful enough to go looking for an angel. Still, it's nice to have it. Better than the (random, occasional) emails about a book on my wishlist - I'm more likely to see it in time.
