An interesting article about using airborne lasers for mapping is in The New York Times of May 10, 2010. It was used in Belize for a Mayan site.

I am not normally given in to conspiracy or fear-based thinking but I’m not sure how comfortable I am knowing that Something Up There is shooting lasers down at me, regardless of the reason. eek
